As island tides ebb and flow, and the ocean continues to embrace Hawai‘i - we present to you Na Kai ‘Ewalu.

"Na kai ‘ewalu" is a traditional poetic reference to Hawai‘i and the ocean that divides, yet connects the eight major islands, from Kumukahi on the island of Hawai‘i to Ni‘ihau and Lehua in the west.

In this third recording, the four-part Hawaiian harmony of Ho‘okena - Glen Smith, Horace K. Dudoit III, Manu Boyd and William Aarona - together with special friends and family, pays tribute to Hawai‘i, Maui, Kaho‘olawe, Lana‘i, Moloka‘i, O‘ahu, Kaua‘i and Ni‘ihau - and the rich heritage of a proud people.

Discover with us on this voyage through Na Kai ‘Ewalu, the timeless expressions of aloha for these islands.
